Atletico Madrid are ready to double Thomas Partey’s salary to £130,000 a week.
Athletico Madrid are ready to offer Thomas partey double his wage from £65,000 to £130,000 pounds a week, in order to fend off interest from Arsenal as reported by The Guardian.
The 26-year-old has played pivotal roles in Diego Simone sides, he has had an impressive season in both domestic and European Competitions.
Partey joined Athletico Madrid in 2012 and has a contract with Athleti till 2022. An increase in his pay will see the defensive midfielder earn an annual salary of £6.76million pounds.
The new deal will see an increase in his release clause from £43.6 million to £87.2million pounds.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with the Ghanaian International as he said to be preferable to Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi in midfield.
However, it is unclear if the London club can afford the services of the Ghanian star as they are faced with financial challenges amid the coronavirus crisis.
