Timo Werner agrees to join Chelsea for a fee of £45 million pounds

­Timo Werner to Chelsea: Chelsea have announced the signing of RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner after agreeing on personal terms.

Timo Warner agreed to join the premier league club Chelsea, for a reported fee of £48 million pounds.

Chelsea confirmed the news on their Official website of Werner joining them in July after the completion of the Bundesliga 2019/20 season, subject to medicals that are being delayed by the Covid-19.

Warner, 24, had earlier opted out of RB Leipzig Champions League Squad so as to face his new life with the Blues.

The forward is delighted to join the west London club, while also appreciating his soon to be former club, RB Leipzig.

“I am delighted to be signing for Chelsea, it is a very proud moment for me to be joining this great club,” Werner said. “I of course want to thank RB Leipzig, the club and the fans, for four fantastic years.

“You will forever be in my heart. I look forward to next season with my new teammates, my new manager and of course the Chelsea fans. Together we have a very successful future ahead of us.”

The German International also took to his Social handle to express his joy of joining Frank Lampard’s side.

The proficient attacker has netted 32 goals and 13 assists in 43 appearances all competitions for RB Leipzig this season.
