Thomas Tuchel provides latest Injury update on Thiago Silva and Tammy Abraham ahead of Leeds United clash

InThomas Tuchel has confirmed that Chelsea will be without Thiago Silva and Tammy Abraham for their Premier League clash at Leeds United.

 

The Blues are undefeated in eleven games in all competitions. In the Premier League, and have moved from ninth to fourth in the standings and are now in control of their fate in the Champions League.

The Brazilian defender has not played for the Blues since a 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in early February. But he was on the bench in their 2-0 win over Everton last weekend.

 

However, he will not participate at Elland Road this Saturday.

“Thiago had a little setback in training at the end of the session, the day before yesterday, he felt something around the same area he was injured. He will be out, the same for Tammy who still has the ankle pain.”Thomas Tuchel told reporters ahead of the match.

 

“So we had to take him back to a transition phase but not back in team training so he will be out.”

Also, Tuchel will also be without striker Tammy Abraham, who is suffering from an ankle problem.

” I’m a bit concerned because the pain from the tackle against Newcastle is still there. It’s been a long time since he’s been 100% free and comfortable in training.

 

“Even if he finishes in training, I can see he isn’t 100% free. I have complete trust in our medical department and they will take care of him.

 

“Tammy had to leave the pitch during the warm-up yesterday and he will get all the time he needs. It’s important he feels zero pain and then we can think about his comeback.

 

“These two are out for tomorrow and everyone else is available,” the German added.

Chelsea will look to continue their fine form in the Premier League when they travel to travel to West Yorkshire to face Leeds United.

speaking on Chelsea Premier League target Tuchel said “Upwards always means the next match. In football, there is no harder match than the next one and this is tomorrow.

 

“If we take care of our performance, mentality and attitude, we increase our chances to win. And if we win the table takes care of itself.

 

“So looking forward, I am happy when Andreas says it like this but we have to stay hungry. We are in the middle of the race and where we have to look is clear.”
