Thomas Tuchel gets desired draw as Chelsea face Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals 1 Sportelo

Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel has been granted his desired draw after his team were drawn against Real Madrid in the Semifinal champions League.

 

The blues though lost 2-1 on Tuesday night, but progressed to the semifinals of the competition with a 2-1 aggregate scoreline, awaiting the winners between Real Madrid and Liverpool.

Real Madrid cruised to the semifinals after playing out a goalless draw with Jurgen Klopp’s side at Anfield last night holding on to a 3-1 first-leg lead.

 

Tuchel revealed the reason why he wanted to face Real instead of Liverpool.

“In general I like not to play against teams from your same league in the Champions League as it gives more of a feeling of a European competition but that is the only thing. said Tuchel

 

“The game is far from over but I will watch it for sure.

“Everything is possible. Liverpool are very strong at home so we take what we get. It is a good situation for us.”

The first leg of the encounter is due to be played on Tuesday, April 27 or Wednesday, April 28.
