The German international was heavily involved that night.  His shot from a Marcos Alonso cross deflected from Everton defender Ben Godfrey and into the back of the net to open the scoring.

In the second half he saw a goal disallowed after being awarded it with his hand in preparation, but then ran through and won a penalty after being brought down by Jordan Pickford.

Jorginho stepped up to slot home from the penalty spot and added three points for the Blues, who tightened their grip on a spot in the top four.

“Very pleased with Kai. It was the trust we gave him and used the trust we gave him. He is a player who has all the ability to be a dominant figure in the offense and he stepped up.
