Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham is “not interested” in signing a new deal at Stamford Bridge as the club seeks a deal for Erling Haaland, according to reports.

The Englishman did well with Frank Lampard last season when he scored 15 Premier League goals for the Blues as they finished in the top four.

However, Abraham has only started 12 Premier League matches this term and is already in and out of the squad with new boss Thomas Tuchel.

With Timo Werner failing to impress this season, Chelsea have been linked to a summer move for Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland.

And now sources have told The Athletic that Abraham “is not interested in discussing an extension of his contract while the club cast admiring glances at Haaland.”

They also stated that “it should not be assumed that Abraham will want to stay at Chelsea” and that “it would be wise to convince” Olivier Giroud, who scored a spectacular goal against Atletico Madrid last night, to stay at Stamford Bridge.

Abraham has been substituted twice at halftime by new coach Tuchel and Athletic believes that the German “must have doubts” about the Blues’ top scorer.

The English international only has two years left on his contract after this season and the report adds that ‘this summer would generate the highest rate’ if Chelsea planned ‘to cash in on the 23-year-old to avoid the risk of his deal being downgraded.”
