Southampton reportedly plans to request that neither Mike Dean nor Lee Mason referee their games in the future.

The Saints are furious at the decisions made by those officials in their losses to Aston Villa and Manchester United.

Ralph Hasenhuttl’s team was denied a penalty in the 1-0 loss to Villa on Saturday for what appeared to be a clear hand against Matty Cash, then saw Danny Ings’s goal controversially ruled out for offside.

In Tuesday’s 9-0 loss to United Jan Bednarek conceded a penalty and was sent off for knocking down Anthony Martial in the area, but there was minimal contact.

They are ready to speak with PGMOL to discuss the option of Mason and Dean not refereeing their games in the future, according to the Daily Mail.

Southampton also intends to appeal Bednarek’s late red card, which United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer deemed unfair.

He said: “The second dispatch for them, that rule must be removed. The law that fires him is strange. Bednarek definitely shouldn’t have been expelled. “
