Six test positive for COVID-19 confirms the premier league

The premier league have confirmed that six players have tested positive for the COVID-19.

The premier league on Tuesday confirmed that six individuals in three clubs have so far tested positive for the coronavirus.

According to ESPN, a total of 748 tests have been carried out for both players and staff.

Players were permitted to resume training on Tuesday in small groups. All those who tested positive for the virus must now self- isolate for seven days and can not partake in training.

A statement from the Premier League Read: “Of these, six have tested positive from three clubs. Players or club staff who have tested positive will now self-isolate for a period of seven days.

No disclosure of individuals, staff or clubs that tested positive for the pandemic and it will continue in that manner.

“The Premier League is providing this aggregated information for the purposes of competition integrity and transparency. No specific details as to clubs or individuals will be provided by the League and results will be made public in this way after each round of testing.”

The June 12 resumption is not certain for the premier league which was suspended on 13th of March amid the COVID-19.
