Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua have finally confirmed the signing of Nigerian forward Obafemi Martins.
The super eagles star was presented to the media and fans at a ceremony on Wednesday which ended some rumors about his future after training with the club for weeks.
The Chinese club brought in Martins to serve as replacement for Odion Ighalo who is currently on loan with Manchester united after his loan spell was further extended till January 2021.
Obafemi Martins a former Newcastle united, Inter Milan and Wolfsburg player is now set to play for Shanghai Shenhua for a second spell after appearing in their colors from 2016-2018.
The Nigerian forward performance at his first spell was a good start for his career, scoring 32 goals in 59 appearances with 9 assists.
For the 2020 season, he has currently been allocated the number 17 jersey, same number he used when he first joined the club.

The 35 year old has also played for Levante, Rubbin Kazan, Reggiana, Seattle sounders and Birmingham city.
