The Celtic striker is on the wish list of several premier league clubs, including Arsenal, Aston Villa and Leicester City been a possible destination.

Awoniyi spent last season on loan in the Bundesliga with Mainz, having previously been loaned to FSV Frankfurt, NEC, KAA Gent, and Royal Excel Mouscron as a result of his inability to break into the first team of Liverpool.

The 23-year-old loan spell at Mainz didn’t turn out as he expected, managing just one goal in 12 appearances for the Bundesliga side in the 2019/20 season.

The Imperial Academy product is currently valued at  €3.2 million (transfermarkt),  but Celtic will have to pay three that price according to reports.
