The victory put Jurgen Klopp’s team within five points of the top four, closing the gap between them and Chelsea, who drew 0-0 at Leeds on Saturday.

Jota opened the scoring as Wolves goalkeeper Rui Patricio struggled to keep out his low shot towards the end of the first half.

It was Jota’s sixth Premier League goal of the season and tenth goal in all competitions in 12 games, his ruthless streak in front of the goal clearly hasn’t gone unnoticed by his teammates like Mane.

Mane, who assisted the goal, shed light on Jota’s new nickname, “@diogoj_18 well done Jogoal,” Mane tweeted.
