Cristiano Ronaldo inspired display made sure Juventus retain the Serie A title for a record 36th time.

Juventus secured their ninth Serie A title following a 2-0 victory over 10-men Sampdoria on Sunday night at the Allianz Stadium.

Ronaldo gave the Bianconeri’s the lead at the stroke of half time from a set piece with an assist from Miralem Pjanic this is his 31st league goal in 32 matches.

In the 67th minute Federico Bernardeschi sealed the win for the old lady netting his first goal in almost 2 years.

Sampdoria were reduced to ten men 13 minutes before the end of the game when Morten Thorsby was sent off after a foul on Pjanic.

Ronaldo missed an opportunity to add to his tally hitting the crossbar from the penalty spot in the 89th minute.

Maurizio Sarri’s men now have 83 points seven points clear of second-placed Inter Milan with 2 games left to conclude the 2019/20 Serie A season.

Juventus will now have their mind fixed on the UEFA Champions League as they host Lyon in a return leg of the round of 16 as they hope to overturn a 1-0 deficit and advance to the quarter final stage.
