Real Madrid are open to selling star winger Eden Hazard this summer, according to reports in Spain.

Madrid spent £130 million to sign Hazard from Chelsea  in 2019 but the Belgium international has failed to make an impact since his move to the Spanish capital.

Hazard, who has struggled with multiple injuries during his time in La Liga, delivered an anonymous display in the 2-0 defeat to Chelsea on Wednesday evening which sealed Madrid’s elimination from the Champions League.

And Hazard infuriated many Madrid fans  after television cameras caught him laughing and joking with his former Chelsea teammate Kurt Zouma minutes after the final whistle.

Hazard has since apologized for his conduct, but according to Marca, Madrid’s hierarchy has decided they are ready to hear offers for the 30-year-old this summer.

The report claims that Hazard’s performance against Chelsea, plus his reaction after the match, was not a factor in the decision, as Madrid’s hierarchy has been considering the player’s future for several weeks.

Meanwhile, ABC reports that Madrid would be willing to let Hazard leave in the next transfer window if they receive an offer of €50m.

Hazard has been linked with a possible return move to Stamford Bridge.
