He is expected to work for the Los Blancos alongside Florentino Perez after they won their 34th La Liga title.
It was reported that he was engaged in a fuse with Madrid president Florentino Perez which made him to find an alternative destination in Fc Porto.
This made the former goalkeeper depart the Spanish giants unceremoniously announcing it in a press conference conducted by himself.
The 39-year-old made his debut for Real Madrid at the age of 18 going on to win five la Liga titles, two Copa del Rey, four super cups and three champions league trophy.
Casillas is expected to announce his retirement officially after Fc Porto are crowned champions of the Portuguese top division.
