According to a report from Saudi state news, Newcastle takeover by Saudi billionaires looks like a done deal, after the premier league agreed to approved the £300m takeover
The takeover plan is headed by Amanda Staveley with support from Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) fronted by crown prince Mohammed bin Salman in the reported £300m takeover according to talkSport.
When the takeover is finalised the Magpies will have the richest owner in the premier league ahead of Manchester City’s owner Sheikh Mansour currently tops the Premier League rich list with a net worth of £23.3bn.
There have been protests due to the planned takeover raising concerns over human rights abuses in Saudi Arabia, Hatice Cengiz, wife of murders Journalist Jamal Khashoggi, wrote to the Premier League on two separate occasions opposing the proposed take over of Newcastle.

However, that seems to be history now, as Saudi state news channel Al Ekhbariya claims the Premier League has approved the takeover.
There are also reports of Newcastle being linked with a move for former Spurs Manager Mauricio Pochettino and Rafael Benitez has also talked about a possible return to his former club Newcastle United.
