Police arrest 12-year-old boy for racist abuse against Wilfred Zaha

Police have reportedly arrested a 12-year-old boy after he sent a series of racist messages to Crystal Palace Wilfred Zaha .

Just before Crystal Palace trip to Villa Wilfred Zaha revealed took to social media to reveal the degree of the racist abuse he received by a user “jackdolan_avfc” who happened to be an Aston Villa fan.

The 27-year-old caption the message “woke up to this today.”
One message read ‘you better not score tomorrow you black c***’ before the user added ‘or I’ll come to your house dressed as a ghost.’

Following the condemnation of the incident by many, the West Midlands police announced on Sunday afternoon that the perpetrator has been arrested.

“We were alerted to a series of racist messages sent to a footballer today, and after looking in them and conducting checks, we have arrested a boy, a statement read.

“The 12-year-old from Solihull has been taken to custody. Thanks to everyone who raised it. Racism won’t be tolerated.”

Zaha has been praised by the manager of Crystal Palace Roy Hodgson for speaking up while condemning the act.

A brace from Trezeguet ensured Aston Villa were 2-0 victorious over the Eagles, but Villa remains 18th position on the premise league table almost sure of being relegated.
