Osimhen has fired back after reports emerged he aimed to emulate Napoli great Diego Maradona.
Super Eagles Forward Victor Osimhen has fired back after reports in the local media stated that he granted an interview and target following the footsteps of the Argentine great.
Maradona remains one of Napoli’s greatest player after helping the Serie A side win two Serie A titles, one Coppa Italia and the UEFA Cup, scoring a total of 115 goals in 259 games during his days at the club.
Napoli fans still adore the great exploit of the legend to date.
The 21-year-old joined Napoli for a club-record fee of €70m from Lille OSC and this will definitely pile pressure on him to perform and live up to the billing.
“I never said such a thing,” the 21-year-old lashed out on Twitter.
“Y’all copy paste journalist just like to on fabricate lies, since the passing of my late father I haven’t grant any interview whatsoever, stop this nonsense else na thunder go fire una.”
