The President of the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) Amaju Pinnick has declared that Super Eagles players will no longer be paid their match bonuses and allowances in foreign currency, henceforth.

He announced on Monday that players will now be paid bonuses and allowances in Naira just as the NFF encourages the need to promote policy that will increase the value of the currency.

This is in line with the recent announcement by the NFF stating that the Super Eagles Coach will be paid in Naira if his contract is to be extended beyond June 2020. “If he is able to accept, we have a deal.” Pinnick said.

The NFF President revealed this on Channels TV. “The players, the way they play in Nigeria. Their bonus has always been paid in Naira. But when they play abroad they were paid in Dollars.”

“But that can even change. This time, we need to take many drastic decision that will go across board to promote our Fiscal policy.”
