President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that Genort Rhor will continue his post as the Super Eagles manager.

NFF President Ammaju Pinnick confirmed the news on Wednesday, via his personal verified twitter handle @PinnickAmaju, but no further details of the contract were revealed.

This news brings to an end the speculations surrounding the Future of the German Tactician contract talks. After it was rumoured that the Sports ministry had plans of hiring former Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp as a replacement.

However, Amaju Pinnick has put an end to such rumours by confirming a new deal for Rohr on Wednesday with the backing of the ministry of sport.

Rhor’s major task is to lead the Super Eagles to the Qatar 2022 World cup and winning the 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroun stated the NFF President Amaju Pinnick.

“We can now focus on qualifying for the World Cup and winning the Nations Cup. In truth, these are sacrosanct and Coach Rohr is aware of these conditions,” said Pinnick.

The 66-year-old former Burkinafaso took charge of the Nigerian national team in 2016, leading the Super Eagles to 2018 World Cup and a third-place finish at the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.
