Neymar, Alission assist Families affected by the coronavirus in Brazil

Paris saint Germain forward Neymar and Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson are among a number of players and Coaches who have donated to families facing financial challenges in Brazil.

The Brazilian duo is in a group of 57, which includes former Paris Saint Germain and Juventus, right-back Daniel Alves has donated 2.5 million real (428,000 euros) to the Football Federation of Brazil (CBF).

CBF president Rogerio Caboclo said the funds will be distributed to densely populated areas and should be enough to cater to over 32,000 families”.


This comes nearly one week after some high profile Ex-players, through a campaign raised funds to help those hit by the pandemic.

The South-American country has so far recorded over 43,000 Covid-19 cases, with 2,741 death, highest in the region.
