Monaco appoints former Bayern Munich boss Niko Kovac as Manager

Niko Kovac appointed as new Monaco Coach

Moreno who replaced Leonardo Jardim in December was dismissed by the league 1 club during the weekend.

The 48 year old former Croatian international has signed a 3-year contract deal with Monaco with options of a further year due to the unimpressive performance of the club to improve their fortune of the club.

Monaco appointed Niko Kovac as the club’s new manager on Sunday succeeding Robert Moreno the club announced. Kovac was available after his sacking by Bayern in November months after leading the Bundesliga giants to a league and cup double.

“Niko is recognized for his works both for the national team and in club environments, in the development of young talent, the management of experienced player,s and the ability to achieve very good results,” Monaco vice president Oleg Petrov said.
“I’m convinced that his experience and his personality will help us achieve our goals.”
