Manchester United suffered a huge blow in their pursuit for champions league qualification as Michael Obafemi came off the bench to score a dramatic late equalizer in a 2 all draw at old Trafford.

Following Stuart Armstrong’s opener for Southampton, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford turned things around, only for Obafemi to net a goal to give the visitors a point.

The red devils remain fifth after blowing a chance to move ahead of Chelsea and Leicester City on Monday night after securing a point in the match with frustration seen around the players faces and the coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men deserved a share of the spoils.
Their pressure was too much on the red devils forcing Paul Pogba into an early error which Armstrong capitalized on.

Manchester United, however, created a response that Sir Alex Ferguson would have been proud with Rashford equalizing in the 20th minute and Martial with a superb strike 3 minutes later.

United looked set to hold on only for Obafemi to get in the corner before Victor Lindelof to snatch in a late point for the saints.

United remain 5th place on the premier league having moved up to third if only the had won the match.
