Barcelona had to fight from a goal down to beat Rayo Vallecano 2-1 and qualify for the Copa del Rey quarter-finals on Wednesday.
Lionel Messi returned to the starting XI after a two-game suspension.
Despite his return, Barca couldn’t find a way in the first 45 minutes they dominated.
Rayo then grew into the game and took the lead in the second half with a tap-in from Fran Garcia after keeper Neto spilled the ball right in his path.
Messi equalised for Barca through a counter attack after being pitched by Antoine Griezmann.
Soon after, the Catalans took the lead as Jordi Alba prepared Frenkie de Jong for another close-range goal
Sevilla also booked their place in the quarter-finals on Friday when after defeating 2019 Copa winners Valencia 3-0 at home.
