Marouane Fellaini discharged from hospital and grateful

Ex-Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has been discharged from hospital where he had spent three weeks, after recovering from the deadly coronavirus.

Fellaini tested positive for the virus on March 22nd, 2020 and was admitted to Jinan hospital in China.

A club statement read: “The official test confirmed that the player Fellaini has tested positive for the coronavirus during the quarantine observation period, ”confirming the player’s status.

“The hardest part is behind me!
Let’s keep fighting, it’s important”. he wrote on his Instagram page.

The 32-year-old took out time to thank the hospital, staff and his club in his post

A post on his Instagram page Read “The time has come for me to thank from the bottom of my heart, the medical staff of the hospital, their nursing staff as well as my Club and its medical staff for taking such good care of me with so much kindness and for ensuring my comfort whilst there”.

The Belgian international midfielder moved to the Chinese league side Shandong Taishan from Manchester United after spending five years at Old Trafford.
