Manchester United star Marcus Rashford was quick to praise Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappé after his brilliant hat-trick against Barcelona.
The Frenchman hit the Catalans three times in a resounding 4-1 victory at the Camp Nou, which makes Mauricio Pochettino’s team the favorite to reach the round of 16 of the competition.
With Lionel Messi scoring for Barcelona but being overshadowed for the rest of the game, Mbappé’s performance felt like a pass from the guard as the 33-year-old Argentine watched the brilliant Frenchman score a hat-trick.
Mbappé’s performance certainly got the football world talking and Rashford was one of the most notable commentators, taking to his Twitter to praise the World Cup winner.
What a performance @KMbappe 🔥 https://t.co/TBoXyCsUd3

What a performance,’ wrote Rashford, who tagged Mbappe in the post and accompanied it with a ‘flame’ emoji.
Big player! @KMbappe 🥶

United target Jadon Sancho also got in on the act, describing Mbappe as a ‘big player’ and adding the ‘ice cold emoji’.
PSG were defeated in the final last year by Bayern Munich and it remains the club’s greatest wish to win the competition for the first time in its history.
Pochettino’s team did not travel with Neymar for the trip to Spain, but the Brazilian is struggling to be fit for the second leg, even if it is not necessary to advance to the next round.
