Ole Gunnar Solskjaer takes blames for Manchester United humiliating loss to Tottenham

Manchester United’s Premier League match against Newcastle United at Old Trafford is scheduled for tonight, despite a Covid-19 outbreak in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team.

Three members of Solskjaer’s backroom staff have been forced to self-isolate after coming into close contact with a person who had tested positive for coronavirus.

The coaches tested positive for Covid-19 and did not travel to Turin for Thursdayโ€™s 4-0 win against Real Sociedad.

In a brief statement, United confirmed that Nicky Butt and Mark Dempsey will join Solskjaer on the bench tonight as replacements.

“Nicky Butt and Mark Dempsey will join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on the bench this evening due to some of the coaching staff having to self isolate,โ€™ a statement read.

“The home Premier League game against Newcastle United at Old Trafford will kick off at 19:00 “

Manchester United is confident that it has prevented the spread of the outbreak to any member of the playing team, and at this point, tonight’s game against the Magpies will go ahead.
