Sevilla have reportedly lowered their asking price this summer for the Manchester United’s transfer target, Jules Kounde.

The 22-year-old defender has been highly sought after by United and is believed to be high on their list of defensive goals heading into the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils are eager to bring in a long-term partner for Harry Maguire at the rear with Raphael Varane also on their list of targets.

However, the efforts to secure a move for Kounde have been boosted, with The Sun claiming that Sevilla has lowered the valuation of one of its prized assets to £50 million.

The report claims that the La Liga team was originally asking for £70 million-plus add-ons with United now informed that they will be able to achieve one of their summer goals for less than originally thought.

Kounde is believed to have a contract worth
£70,000 a week at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuan Stadium with United set to at least double those terms.

United also remains strongly linked to a signing of Varane, who is about to enter the final year of his contract with Real Madrid.

AS alleged last week the France international is now in favour of a move away from the Spanish capital and could hand in a transfer request in the coming months.
