Odion Ighalo latest news: Manchester United Odion Ighalo loan deal is set to expire on Sunday, but the report has it that United are confident of extending the striker’s loan deal.
Ighalo parent club Shanghai Shenhua have opted to do business with the Premier League team after the striker expressed his desire to remain at Old Trafford.
According to Sky Sports, United are on the verge of reaching an agreement with the Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua for Ighalo to extend his loan deal until January of 2021.
The 30-year-old joined Manchester United in a last-minute deal of the January 2020 transfer window.
But, with the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic football games were halted for almost 3 months, the premier league is set to resume on July 20.
The former watford striker has a loan with Shanghai Shenhua until December 2021 and has not extended it according to an earlier report.
Ighalo has been in a remarkable season since he joined Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, scoring 4 goals in 8 appearances for United in all competitions.
