Manchester United hit a brick wall in an attempt to sign Barcelona Ousmane Dembele

Manchester United have hit the brick wall in the transfer market after Barcelona demanded a huge fee to sign Ousmane Dembele loan.

The red devil’s race to sign a forward before the October 5th transfer deadline day is unlikely and their Jadon Sancho alternative Dembele won’t be easy to get.

The 23-year-old is on the top wish list of coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with his future at Nou Camp surrounded by uncertainty.

Dembele was an unused substitute in Barcelona 3-0 away win over Celta Vigo in the Spanish La Liga as he was declared surplus to requirements by coach Ronald Koeman.

Barcelona are willing to let him move on loan, they are demanding United pay his Β£215,000-a-week wages in full to make it happen, which could make United look elsewhere.

United are also targetingΒ  Atalanta winger Amad Traore as an alternative for the Barcelona forward.

Manchester Evening News reported that the Red Devils have entered talks over a permanent deal for the 18-year-old Ivorian, with the deal still far from being complete, but united are confident of sealing the deal before the close of this season transfer window.
