Bayern Munich defeated Lyon 3-0 to set up a champions league final with Paris Saint-Germain in Lisbon.

A brace from Serge Gnabry and a late goal from Robert Lewandowski ensured the German champions booked their place in the finals with 3-0 victory over Lyon at the Estadio Jose Alvalade on Wednesday night.

Bayern Munich will be playing in their 11th European/champions league finals, equalling AC Milan record with only Real Madrid (16) having participated more.

Lyon started on a bright note  seen off Manchester City in the quarter-finals, with Captain Memphis Depay sending and an early warning shot and Striker Toko Ekambi hitting the upright.

Hansi Flick’s men didn’t need as many chances as that, as they were clinical in front of goal, with German International Serge Gnabry firing the ball past Lyon goalkeeper Lopes to give Bayern a 1-0 lead.

12th minutes before the half time,
Gnabry added a second for the German champions and his 9th champions league goal in 9 appearances this season, as he scored from a close range after Lewandowski shot was turned into his path by Lopes.

The French side came back from the break with hopes of fighting back, but Bayern were happy keeping possession with time running out.

Bayern were unlucky not to extend the lead as Robert Lewandowski and substitute Coutinho missed chance,

However, in the 88th minute, Lewandowski scored Bavaria third and his 55th goals of the 2019/20 season to put the game beyond Rud Garcia’s men.

The win against Lyon means Bayern will Paris Saint-Germain in the finals of Europe elite competition on Sunday in Lisbon in what promises to be an exciting encounter.
