Liverpool transfer news: Liverpool are reportedly linked with a move for Napoli center back Kalidou Kouliabaly.
Liverpool are considering a summer move for the highly-rated Napoli defender, Kalidou Kouliabaly according to several reports the soon to be English premier league champions are leading the race for the signature of the Senegalese defender this summer.
Despite Liverpool’s interest in signing the 29-year-old center back, Napoli have told the Reds they are £36m below the market value of the player and has turned to be the major stumbling block over the transfer move after the Reds made their first offer of £54m.
Napoli have slammed a £90 price tag on Kouliably, for any club pursuing the defender this summer, having been in an impressive forms, since joining the Italian club, there is a high possibility of the Senegalese defender leaving the Italian Serie A this summer.

The Reds are seeking a potential strong partner for Virgil Van Dijk, who has been recently paired several times with Joel Matip, Dejan Lovren and Joe Gomez and are yet to find the right combination for the Liverpool skipper. Gennaro Gattuso said: “We don’t need to operate too much in the market.
“We have to see who’s going to leave us. Our chairman knows it – we speak about it every week. This is a strong team but I think that only 70-80% of the players will stay with us.
“We will do a few transfers but I know this team has great quality [already].”
Koulibaly joined Napoli from Genk in 2014 for a fee of £6.5 million pounds.
