Liverpool have confirmed that midfielder Fabinho suffered from a muscle problem ahead of their Premier League away game against Leicester City on Saturday afternoon at the King Power Stadium.
Liverpool revealed this in a post via its official website on Friday.
The Reds are heading into the game after a 4-1 loss to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in their previous meeting last weekend.
Confirming the development, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said in his pre-match press conference on Friday that: “Fab will not be available.
“He Suffered again a little muscle problem, so he will be out for this game [against Leicester]”.
After the game against Leicester City, Liverpool will travel to Budapest to face RB Leipzig in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 on Tuesday before hosting Everton at Anfield on Saturday.
