Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is expecting striker No Salah to be available for Wednesday night champions league clash against Atalanta after his coronavirus result returned negative.

Liverpool  Mo Salah missed the red’s last premier league game against Leicester City on Sunday after he tested positive for a covid-19 while on international duty for the Egyptian national team.

The 28-year-old who has been on isolation since his return to England has now tested negative for the virus as revealed by Klopp and will be cleared for training as soon as possible.

“That’s what I’ve heard, yes, it [was] negative today,’ said Klopp on Sunday. ‘I think he is from now on pretty normal in testing.

“Tomorrow we have the UEFA testing for the Champions League and I am pretty sure he will be in that.

“He can now train with us tomorrow [Monday], that’s it. He will have two tests in the next two days, so, yes, he will be tested like all of us.”

The premier league champions were more than able to secure all three points even without their star player as Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino headers, and Jonny Evens’s own goal gave them a 3-0 comfortable win over the Foxes.

Another injury headache for Klopp as Naby Keita limped off the pitch with a hamstring injury adding to the long list of the reds already depleted squad.

Liverpool will host Serie A side Atalanta  on Wednesday night as they hope to extend their lead at the top of Group D, after three wins in three games in the champions league so far.
