Liverpool favourites to sign £50m transfer but it could require green light from incoming manager

Mason Mount, a midfielder for Chelsea, is apparently the favorite to be transferred, although Liverpool may still need the approval of new Blues manager Mauricio Pochettino.

According to a report from the Daily Mirror, Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has made it clear that he wants to add three new midfielders this summer. Mount and Brighton’s Alexis MacAllister are reportedly two of his primary targets.

The arrival of Pochettino at Stamford Bridge will undoubtedly be hoped for by Chelsea supporters as a way to improve Mount’s circumstances and keep him at the club despite his decline in performance this year.

The England international has had some great moments in a Chelsea shirt since rising up through their academy, and it would surely hurt Blues supporters to see him moving to one of their rivals.

Liverpool could be an attractive destination for a player like Mount, however, with things looking pretty chaotic at Chelsea right now.
