Two goals from Messi and a goal from Antoine Griezmann and Oscar Mingueza gave Ronald Koeman’s side the much needed victory.

Rafa Mir scored a controversial penalty, just before end of half time for the visitors at the Camp Nou.

According to OptaJose, Messi’s double against Huesca means that the Argentine has scored more than 20 goals in LaLiga for the thirteenth consecutive season, being the only player to do so in the history of the competition.

Also Messi became the second LaLiga player to reach double figures for both goals (26) and assists (10) this season in all competitions, after teammate Antoine Griezmann (13 goals and 11 assists).

The victory over Huesca means that Barcelona are now in second place in the LaLiga table, four points behind league leaders Atlético de Madrid with 11 games left.

The 33-year-old hopes to continue his impressive performance with Ronald Koeman’s side when he takes on Real Sociedad in LaLiga on Sunday.
