Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has insisted that Sadio Mane is “completely fine’ after Liverpool’s thumping win over Crystal Palace, despite showings sings of frustration after being subbed off and cutting a glum figure in the stands.

The Premier League champions moved six points clear at the top of the table  at least until their rivals have played  with a ruthless 7-0 victory at Selhurst Park stadium on Saturday.

With goals from Takumi Minamino (1), Sadio Mane (1), Roberto Firmino (2), Jordan Henderson (1) and Mohamed Salah (2) ensuring the Reds maintain their lead at the top.

Mane, who could have scored more goals in the match, was replaced by Mohamed Salah who had been rested from the starting eleven and appeared angry, complaining as he replaced before watching the rest of the match with little interest from the stand.

Asked about Mane’s tantrum, Klopp told BT Sport: “He was not angry because Mo came on, he was not happy because he had a look at the watch… or maybe it was because [we had a] free-kick. I don’t know exactly.

“you cannot play football like this if you are just a solider and do everything what the boss says. They do what I say, but they are human beings and react in a specific way.

“After the game Sadio was completely fine. It’s all good.” said Klopp

Liverpool will host West Brom at the Anfield stadium on 27, December as they look to consolidate on their good form.
