Jurgen Klopp has chosen RB Leipzig center-back Dayot Upamecano as his “dream signing” ahead of this summer, according to reports.
In recent years, the 22-year-old has grown to become one of the top-rated young center-backs in world football.
He caught the attention of teams across Europe last season when Leipzig reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Klopp hoped to amend this by signing Ozan Kabak and Ben Davies in January from Schalke and Preston respectively.
BILD has reported, quoted by The Mirror, that Klopp sees Upamecano as a “dream signing” for Liverpool. The player will have a £ 37 million release clause this summer, but the Reds will face competition for the player from teams like Bayern Munich and Manchester United for his signature.
The defender joined RB Leipzig in January 2017 for a fee of around 10 million euros from Salzburg and has already managed to make 139 senior appearances for the Bundesliga club.
