
The Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on Friday provided injury updates on Alisson Becker, Fabinho, Naby Keita, and Diogo Jota ahead of the Merseyside derby against Everton on Saturday.
Klopp confirmed Fabinho will miss the derby alongside the trio of Naby Keita, Diogo Jota, and James Milner, who he said are all “closer’ to a return.
Fabinho had half a chance to be fit for Everton’s visit on Saturday but was not pictured in training in Kirkby on Thursday night.
speaking at a pre-match press conference, Klopp has ruled the No. 3 out of contention but revealed that Naby Keita could be back following a two-month absence.
on Alisson Klopp said “He is fine. clearing every doubt on the Reds no one Shot stopper.
“Naby trained yesterday with the team, so we have to see what we make of it,” the manager told reporters.
“Fab was not in training. All the rest [who have been out] as well not. Nothing really new.
“They all get closer. Fab gets closer, Milly gets closer, Diogo gets closer, but not close enough for the weekend.”

With Fabinho out, Jordan Henderson will partner new signing Oza Kabak who will play for the third time in a row as partner at center-back. This makes the duo the fourth-best paring in Liverpool.

Liverpool will be looking forward to ending their Bad run of form in the Premier League, having lost three successive league games, against Brighton & Hove Albion, Manchester City, and Leicester City.
Klopp’s men will hope to return to winning ways in the domestic league, having recorded a 2-0 victory against RB Leipzig in the champions league on Tuesday night.
