Klopp defends Alisson says “cold feet” could be the reason for his errors against Man City.

Jurgen klopp has revealed that “cold feet” could be to blame for Alisson’s two mistakes in Liverpool’s 4-1 loss to Manchester City on Sunday.


Ikay Gundogan’s first goal was cancelled by a Mohamed Salah penalty goal, but City received the next two goals after two regrettable clearances by Alisson.

The loss at Anfield has left Liverpool 10 points behind City in the race for the Premier League title, while Pep Guardiola’s side has a game at hand.


But despite the two big mistakes, Klopp defended Alisson after the match with the Liverpool manager, eager to point out that the Brazilian goalkeeper has saved the team from on several occasions.

Klopp also suggested that Liverpool’s defenders should have been better positioned to help Alisson on Gundogan’s second goal.


“We can’t hide them and we don’t have to,” Klopp told Sky Sports when asked about Alisson’s mistakes.

“It is true that we did not give him many options, especially the first one, but the second one simply missed the ball.

“There is no real explanation for that, maybe he had cold feet or something.


“I know it sounds weird, but it could be, but there is still the opportunity to kick it in the stands.


” But again, Ali has saved our lives many times, of that there is no doubt, and tonight he made two mistakes. That’s how it is.”
