Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp says his team “lacks” the ability to be “decisive” at key moments in matches after suffering their fourth consecutive Premier League defeat at the hands of Everton on Saturday.
Goals from Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson’s was enough to secure Everton’s win at Anfield in the Premier League for the first time in 22 years.
The Reds missed a number of presentable opportunities after the break, as Sadio Mane failed to convert two headers and Mohamed Salah saw his short-range effort blocked by Jordan Pickford.
Liverpool’s poor run has seen them fall to sixth place in the table and 16 points behind league leaders Manchester City, who have a game in hand.
In his post-match press conference, Klopp admitted that his team must be more “decisive” at crucial moments both in defense and attack.
“We conceded a completely unnecessary first goal and we should not forget that,’ Klopp said.
“That’s a big part of the game. There were two big parts. You have to defend and we have to score.

“In the decisive moments, we have to be calmer,’ he added.
“Like in the finishing situations and I don’t mean now the headers from Sadio, which were really tricky with circumstances we had tonight.
“The chance from Mo where it was super play with Shaqiri and Trent when Mo is alone and that’s then really difficult because Pickford is in front of him, short distance.
“But we had other situations where we had really finishing opportunities and we didn’t finish the situations off.”
