Jurgen Klopp has been very impressed by Ozan Kabak’s two performances at Liverpool so far and says the young defender has “great potential” at Anfield.

The 20-year-old is on loan at Anfield for the remainder of the season, arriving from Schalke in January to help out amid Liverpool’s injury crisis.

Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, and Joel Matip all out for the long period, and Klopp was desperately short of central defenders.

The Reds have the option to buy the Turkey international in the summer and it seems that if he maintains his level of performance Klopp will be willing to do so.

“Big potential, 20-years-old and already pretty experienced, to be honest,’ Klopp told a press conference about Kabak.

“He didn’t take the easy way in his career so far. When you are in Istanbul and can play for one of the biggest teams in the world [Galatasaray], always around the top of the table.
