Mourinho fires back at  Mesut Ozil after Jibe from the Arsenal outcast

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has fired back at Arsenal outcast after  Mesut Ozil said he would rather retire than join Spurs.

Mesut Ozil took to his Twitter account answering questions from several fans on Monday night.

One question that asked him was whether he would rather retire or play for Spurs, to which he replied: “Easy question. Retire!”

The German International has been ousted from the Gunners squad for both the Premier League and Europa League and is now set to depart the club this January.

Mourinho speaking in a press conference ahead of Spurs clash with Fulham on Wednesday has however responded to Ozil’s comment.

“Who told him that Tottenham would be interested in signing him?” said Jose in response to Ozil.

Ozil  fell out with his former boss Mourinho while at Real Madrid.

“The 31-year-old revealed in his autobiography that Mourinho began by taunting him, saying: “You think two beautiful passes are enough… you think you’re so good that percent is enough.


He continued , writing: “He pauses. Stares at me with his dark brown eyes. I stare back. Like two boxers at the stare-down before the first round.

“He shows no emotion. Just waits for a response from me.

“How much I hate him right now. And I love Mourinho actually.”
