Everton set to offload Alex Iwobi

Everton midfielder Alex Iwobi enjoyed a thrilling performance in the Toffees in 5-2 win over Fleetwood in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.

Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi was delighted to start his first game for Carlo Ancelotti side this season as he played the full 90 minutes in Everton win over fleet wood in the third round of the Carabao cup.

Iwobi was omitted in Everton’s first two games of the season due to injury and was used as a substitute in the win over West Brown.

The 24-year-old hopes his performance will earn him a place in Carlo Ancelotti team as he seeks regular playing time for Everton.

Iwobi registered a goal and gave an assist to Richarlison as Everton cruised to a 5-2 victory.

The former Arsenal star says he hopes to get more opportunities in Carlo Ancelotti squad against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

“It was a good experience for me to get 90 minutes under my belt as I’m trying to get fit for all competitions so it was good for the manager to give me the opportunity today.

“Everyone wants to play so hopefully I can give the manager a migraine and get involved as much as I can.”

Everton will next take on Crystal Palace in the premier league on Saturday, but Iwobi make may not make the starting lineup for the Merseyside based team.
