Former Arsenal great, Ian Wright praised the performances of Granit Xhaka, Nicolas Pepe and Willian after Arsenal’s 3-1 win at Leicester City on Sunday afternoon, also praising manager Mikel Arteta after his selection from the left field team.
The Gunners appeared to be in for a rough day at King Power Stadium after Youri Tielemans opened the scoring for the Foxes after just six minutes.
Arteta was under pressure after leaving out Bukayo Saka, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Thomas Partey, Gabriel Martinelli and Rob Holding on the bench and it seemed like he had made the wrong decisions.
However, his team rallied thanks to goals from David Luiz, Alexandre Lacazette and Pepe to take the big win as they battle for a European spot.
Arsenal’s legend Wright rejoiced in the excellent victory over Leicester as the Foxes sat third at the table before the competition and picked out the displays of Xhaka, Willian and Pepe for their contributions.
Wright tweeted: ‘Xhaka, Willian, Pepe! Well done Arsenal. Well done Mikel Arteta. Wish Harvey Barnes a speedy recovery.’

Willian and Pepe were somewhat surprising inclusions in the starting XI with fans stunned to see Saka and Aubameyang warming the bench.
Arteta himself was delighted with his players, praisingthe same trio Wright chose and the match captain Lacazette.
