The Nigerian international left his childhood club, Arsenal after 15 years at the Emirates to join Everton in 2019 in a deal worth around Β£40 million.

The 24-year-old made 149 appearances for the Gunners and scoring 15 goals, and winning the FA Cup in 2017.

Iwobi told Sky Sports: “It’s hard to get past that at Arsenal. A coach, obviously, Unai Emery came, and yes, it was a little different because there were many different methods, things were changing, the positions, the formations, and I had to play in numerous positions.

“So maybe I was a little uneasy, but I don’t really want to say anything like an argument or a problem because at the end of the day, as footballers, we should be able to deal with the situation.

“Maybe I should have handled it better, but if what happened in the past has made me who I am today, I have no regrets.”
