Higuain’s father refutes claims of his Juventus Exit rumors

Gonzalo Higuain has reportedly linked with a move a way from Juventus, but his father has come out to refute such claims.

Juventus striker, Gonzalo Higuain’s father has said “not true” about news linking his son with a move away from the serie A side.

The former Real Madrid and Napoli striker joined Juventus from Chelsea on loan and is expected to see out his contract with Maurizio Sarri’s side till June 2021.

The 32-year-old traveled back home to Argentina due to the coronavirus outbreak, there were reports that he would stay there in order to force through a return to River Plate, the club he left for Real Madrid in 2007.

The Argentine’s father, Jorge, has said these reports are false, he said to LM Nequen: “Everything that’s been said about Gonzalo isn’t true.

“I can tell you one thing: Gonzalo will stay with Juventus because he still has a year and a half left on his contract and he’ll respect it. He’ll see out his current contract.

“In 18 months, Gonzalo will decide what to do because he will be the master of his own destiny.

“This is the reality and what will happen in Pipita’s career, unless other things happen that are unforeseen.

“But I can guarantee you that, in Gonzalo’s head, there’s no desire to leave Juve, where he is much loved by the fans, just as he loves the Bianconeri, their shirt and their fans.”

Higuain has featured regularly for the old ladies scoring 8 goals with 8 assists in 34 appearances in all competitions.
