Cristiano Ronaldo inspires me says, Borussia Dortmund striker

Borussia Dortmund striker, Erling Haaland has revealed that Juventus Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is an inspiration to him.

Erling Haaland has had an impressive 2019/20 season for both Fc Salzburg and Dortmund and has been linked with a move to laliga giant Real Madrid.

Haaland, 19, joined Dortmund from Austria side Fc Salzburg, in January and has scored 12 goals in 11 appearances for the Black and yellow, before games were suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

He has revealed that he is inspired by the attitudinal display of Cristiano Ronaldo on the field of play.

Speaking in an interview Haaland told ESPN. “You could just see it in Ronaldo’s face that ‘today I’m the man’ and ‘today, I will score goals’ and that’s what he did.

“That’s what I like the best, how dedicated and hungry they are to succeed and to be the man in the moment,” he said.

The Norwegian scored two goals in Borussia Dortmund’s round of 16 defeat to Paris saint-Germain also talked about PSG players’ mockery imitation of his famous meditation celebration.

“I think they helped me a lot to get meditation out in the world and to show the whole world that meditation is an important thing so I’m thankful that they helped me with that,” he said.

Haaland also added talking about life at Dortmund and how he is supported by team mates.

“Yeah I feel I’m Improving every day and now that I play with even better teammates than what I played with in Salzburg — all respect to Salzburg — but yeah, they can find me in even better situations and this, so yeah it’s been good. It’s been a good first months”, he said.
