The UK Culture, Media, and Sport Secretary Oliver Dowden has upheld that the UK are looking at getting the possibility of bringing back the Premier League in no time.
Premier League, teams have returned to training grounds after they were granted access, the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham, and Westham United have seen their players return to individual training while maintaining the government guidelines on social distance.
The premier league was suspended on March 13 in order to prevent the spread of the virus.
However, there are uncertainties surrounding the date of resumption as the clubs and players wait.
The secretary upheld that there are talks with the premier league to return while maintaining the government guidelines on the pandemic.
Speaking to ESPN Dowden said “I personally have been in talks with the Premier League with a view to getting football up and running as soon as possible in order to support the whole football community. But of course, any such moves would have to be consistent with public health guidance.”
