Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has come out to defend his Age, associating it to training.

Uzoho has come under heavy criticism from fans who believed he falsified his Age.

The Ac Omonia goalkeeper made his debut for the Super Eagles at age 19 in an international friendly match against Argentina in Russia and has since made 14 appearances for the senior men national team.

The 21-year-old was in goal for the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the 2018 Russia World Cup.

He was also part of Coach Gernot Rohr’s team that finished third at the 2019 African cup of Nations.

He revealed that he had a small stature but had to work on it which contributed to his new looks and body.

Speaking with Super Eagles media in an Instagram live chat Uzoho said ” I was smallish back then in 2013 when I participated at the World Cup with the U-17 national team.

“I later went to Aspire academy where I learnt a lot. My looks and body build changed when I started using the gym and was working out seriously. he added.

“If a lot of people see my picture back then they won’t even talk about my age, but I don’t really bother because they don’t know me.”
