Harry Maguire sends warning message to Man United about Calvert-Lewin ahead of Everton clash

Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has warned his Red Devils teammate about Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin ahead of their Premier League clash on Saturday night.

 

Maguire said stopping Calvert-Lewin will be key if Man United are to claim a second Premier League home win within a week at Old Trafford.

The 27-year-old defender and Calvert-Lewin are both international team-mates for the English national team.

 

Man United will go into the game after thrashing Southampton 9-0 on Wednesday, while Everton beat Leeds United 2-1.

 

“Yes, in the Premier League you play against different types of strikers every week. So you know that every striker will bring something different and everyone has strengths and everyone has weaknesses, ”Maguire told United Review.

 

“I know Dom from our time with England and he’s very physical and a handful and we have to be right in our game to keep him calm.

“If we can do that, it will be very important for us to hopefully take steps towards victory.”

Calvert-Lewin has scored 12 goals for Carlo Ancelotti’s side so far this season.

 

United will look to close the gap on league leaders Manchester City who will take on Liverpool on Sunday.
